Cosmetic bonding with composite material can be a good alternative to porcelain restorations.  Composite bonding is usually performed directly in the chair where as porcelain restorations are processes in the lab.

We treated a patient with severe tetracycline staining on her teeth. We were able to mask the discoloration with no cutting on teeth. The restorations are slightly bulky since we did not remove any tooth structure.
